A case of primary carcinoma of the gallbladder was encounter recently at the Department of Surgery, College of Medicine Ewha Womans University,
This 58-year-old female was admitted with pain on RUQ and radiating to right shoulder. On exploration, no apparent signs of primary carcinoma of the gallbladder was found even though there as clinical and roentgenological signs of cholecystopathy.
The author are represents special attempt to advocated prophylactic cholecystectomy for all diseased gallbladder, whether symptomatic or not and to determine its pathologic anatomy in surgical cases.
